Question Run flat tires are not repairable??

Do you guys and Tire Rack ever repair run flat tires after they pick up a nail or screw? I understand the reasoning for why they can't be patched... but what if they are not allowed to deflate completely, can they be repaired as opposed to having to be replaced? Your thoughts are welcome...

If they haven't been driven on in a low pressure state, they should be repairable just like a non runflat tire.
