After several test drives with and without sport pkg, I bought a non-sport 328i wagon, which comes with 205/55 16. 95% of my driving is on San Diego freeways and I found the smoothness of the non-sport pkg hard to resist, but it was a tough decision because I came to bmw for the chassis and steering feel/precision. So I am considering plus sizeing to get a bit more 'edge' to the handling. The choices listed in the manual are 225/50 16 or 225/45 17. Money is not an issue, so I don't mind going for the new wheels if the choice is 17's.
What are the advantages and, especially, disadvantages of either of these choices, compared to each other, and compared to the base 205/55 16's?
