why do OT posts count towards post count in e90fanatics, but not in e46? |

At this point we turned off post counts in the OT to maintain the "value" of the post count (because it is only for on topic posts).
When posting here increases and there is more to talk about besides spy shots and preliminary information the OT post count will be gone.

ok tim...i agree w/ you 100%....but this is what i think he wants to know...i know i can't exclude myself from the fun...but will the post counts stay or will all OT posts be eliminated putting us back to like 5?   |

well i've stopped wh0ring on my part. i got too carried away and its funny because i never act like this over on E46fanatics. you can say that im a wh0re thats going legit from now on. i dont want to create a bad name for myself
but logically tim, over on e46fanatics, when someone creates or posts something in the general discussion forum and gets a post for it or whatever, when its moved to the showroom or off topic that post is lost and is taken away from the persons post count. So with that said, my guess would be that the posts accumulated by the members in off topic will be lost.

You would think that would be true, however, when we turned off the post count on E46 I don't remember anyone losing any posts?!?
So I have no idea. |
