My Ride: 2010 328iX
Question Wheel size question

I just picked up a 2010 328iX Coupe with Sports package. I recently bought @ Tirerack a set of 18" wheels ( 8x18, ET40, 5-110 with 235/40-18 ) and was wondering if anybody has any experience or advice on how to fit these on the E90. Was thinking wheel adapter but not sure if I'll still clear the inside and/or wheel arches. Not sure either if wobble bolts will work...

Thank you,

Wobble bolts are only good for about 2.5mm of pattern change, they will no work in your case. You'll need to look into adapters, we prefer H&R adapters. Sadly H&R does not make an adapter to go from the BMW 5x120 to 5x110, BUT they do make one that goes from 5x120 to 5x112. You could use an H&R 5x120 to 5x112 adapter, then utilize wobble bolts, but that's getting very complicated. I'd suggest searching for a custom adapter.

Now most adapters are going to be at 20mm or so thick, most H&Rs for example are 15mm to 35mm thick. Swinging the offset of those wheels by 20mm is going to land you with an 18x8 ET20, that's going to be fairly aggressive on the E92, you may run into issues with clearance.
