First BMW and audio system questions

Hello all,

I just picked up my first BMW. I have a 2013 ("E92"). The car has the HIFI sound system with navigation but the system is lacking a bit. I would like to upgrade the system without butchering the car.

I have found two options thus far, 1) BSW and 2) Musicar. I would like to have a sub in the truck to get the full range of sound. Any thoughts or suggestions? I live in Southern California, any places that carry these systems so I can hear what it sounds like?

Thanks

What do you mean by HIFI sound system with navi? All e90s have the same amps/speakers as far as I know, only difference is the interface, if you have iDrive or a radio head unit type thing. What are you trying to do? Replace the entire system (all speakers/amps) or just add an amp and sub in the trunk?

It's my understand that E90's have a a three different options for the sound system. 1) a standard system, 2) HIFI system, and 3) HK Logic 7 system.

My system has two tweeters, 100mm speakers in each door, two 10mm speakers in the rear side panel and two 200mm subs under each seat. All speakers are amplified with total of 160 watts (I believe that number is accurate.).

My goal is to get plug and play system that has more power and the least intrusive subwoofer in the truck.

I found two companies online that have such a system. (BSW, etc.)

My goal is to have a well balanced system that plays loud and clear. I don't want to shake the car next to me at a stop light.

Well, looking at those 2 systems, if you don't get one of them you'll have to go some custom route probably. Which may or may not end up being more expensive depending on what parts you get, and might involve some cutting/molding that you probably don't want to do.
