Shocks (struts) and springs
So my wife's 2006 325XI needs a new suspension.
I'm an E46 guy. What do you recommend that is reasonable and close to stock for her - shocks and springs. For my E46 I know Bilstein and Eibach. Same for E90? thanks. |

Here's a link to ECS webpage for coilovers (for E91, probably similar for E90) and it shows several coilovers that use Koni shocks:

Not sure what happened to that post, I had edited it not requested it be deleted
![]() For shock spring combos for the E90 xi Bilsteins (LINK) and H&R sports (LINK) are the typical preferred combo, but many drivers are choosing the path of coilovers. I'd take a look at the H&R coilovers for the 325xi (LINK), for just a little more than the cost of quality shocks and springs you'll gain the ability to set the ride height exactly where you want it, instead of relying on a pre determined drop.
