Bluetooth not turning off

If I start a conversation in the car and then exit, turning the radio off and switching my phone to speaker instead of the bluetooth pairing in the car, it switches back. Drives me crazy. What am I missing? I should not have to turn off bluetooth on the phone every time.

TIA

Are you locking the car? My system does the same thing. My audio stays on until I actually lock the car. Locking the car eliminated that problem for me.

I think it has to do with distance. Even when I turn the car off the radio is still on during a conversation and switched over to the phone. If I am still talking and move out and then back into "range" the car picks it back up and I have to switch again.

Bluetooth will stay on even after engine shutoff. End the call and it will end signal.

+1

As a convenience, the bluetooth will stay on (and your radio stay lit) until the call ends. Even if you switch off from bluetooth output to phone speaker, the bluetooth will remain active incase you need it back.
