New car time. Driver's impressions of E90 335i
Hi guys,
I will soon be moving from my E46 to E90 335i. I just wanted to get owner's impressions and views on this car. Is it good and are you happy with it? Drivabilty and handling. Does it give you the occassional woody? Negatives? I can search the common problems but I just wanted to hear about people's feelings on this car. I love my little stock E46. Will I love the 335i?

Traitor! How could you think of leaving us? After all the years we've had together...all the good times and bad?
And that e90 is grossly disfigured...don't talk like you didn't notice! That said...the 335 is said to be a beast. It comes in both turbo diesel and NA V8, doesn't it? Or is that only newer models? IDK. Please don't leave. Think of the little ones!

Did I say I was leaving? Did I say I was selling the E46 that has given me so much pleasure? What I am going to do is hopefully get the 335i and let my son drive the E46, get rid of that Honda thing he currently drives. I will remain responsible for maintaining the E46 and make sure it gets it's fair share of love.

I, personally, always enjoy your posts!
...and a bump for you...hope you get a nice review of the 335. There was just an episode of Top Gear where they compared the 535 in turbo diesel and V8.

go in your computer and find out which service is required. You will find the info you need in your owner manual.

I just picked up my e92 335i today after my 330ci got wrecked last month. After 1 day I'm absolutely loving it. 60 to 80 in 6th gear feels faster than the same speed in 4th gear in the 330.

Loved my e46. Have had e90 and now e92 335i. I love them both. But, after getting this 08 coupe, I'm not going back to sedans. The coupe sits lower and handles a little better thanks the sedan. Don't have 2 kids to drive around either so no need for 3 doors.

I think your going to love it! Ive had my 07 e92 335i for a couple of years now. Drives like a beast! The handling and power are great, even the mpg is over 20 for me. The only issue i have had is the brakes, i thinks its a 3 series issue, just seach the forums and youll see what i mean. Im about to replace mine but eith non OEM PARTS. The car is amazing, i dont think you will be disappointed at all. First time i drove mine i floored it on a clover leaf getting on the freeway, never skipped or squealed and still merged into traffic at 85 and that wasnt even in sport mode. Hope this helps and you get tht exciting ride you want!

Yep. Brakes are great but at 65k I had to do pads and brakes about 1200 incl labor at Bimmer shop. Good mechanic. He said that they work great but also wear quick. Non oem might be good choice. Post how that works out pls.

I had a e46 M3 and my brother drove 335i i like my M3 better specially on handling. If you park your car next to any 3 series 335 330 the M3 will stand out

The 335 (N54 engine) is detuned from the factory so it's a 400 hp engine with simply a tune, and what it has that will always put a smile on your face for daily driving is torque, especially down low
