Headlight confusion

I was taking a few pictures of my 09 328i the other day and was wondering if you can drive around with the just the halos on. As soon as i start the car, the headlights come on. Engine off the halos only. I have the halogens with the cheesy yellow halos but just wondering.

Is there a complete list of these hidden functions in the OBC? I've googled it but i can't seem to find which menu controls this, The closest thing i see is 16.01 - day light measurement.
