Oil change

Alright so I'm getting close to 5k miles driven since I bought my used 06 325i back in August (2013) it currently has 111417 miles on it, my question is should I stick to the bmw 5w-30 or go with 10w-30 like castro edge, or mobile 1 high mileage? My uncle recommended I get something higher then 5w because of the mileage it has. Fyi I live in socal (SD) also I noticed that after driving between 3k-4k miles I had to add 1qt of oil I used bmw oil.

Thanks in advance, any help is appreciated!

Look for LL-01 approved oils on the label, use any of those. I use Mobile1 0w-40.

You can always go with our MOTUL Oil Change Kit if you are looking for oil with better additives for longevity and performance.
