Buy or walk? 2006 330xi - 90k miles

Hey guys,

New to the forum! But not BMW. Just sold my 02 e46 5spd. Loved the car but looking to upgrade a bit. Budget of around $15-18k. I found a 2006 330xi 6spd. with 90k miles(link below).

http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail...nal&listType=1

That high of mileage is a concern to me. E-mail from the Dealer below. He could not provide service records.

"When I traded for the car, as with every car it goes through an inspection by a technician. The technician recommended a rotation and balance of the tires as well as an alignment which we performed. The car is a very clean and sound car that was well maintained by the previous owner. He had bought the car as a Certified BMW and did all of his service at BMW dealerships. However I do not have his service records. I can see from a Carfax report that the customer regularly maintained the vehicle."

Any help on weather to pass or make a move would be much appreciated. Thanks everyone!

-John

Pass on this. The mileage isn't that high, 90k for 7 years old equates to about 12-13k miles per year, which I think is pretty normal. The service records is the main thing that puts me off, and the price is pretty high for that car. You could get an 07 335 with similar mileage for that price.

My Ride: 2007 335i
Hello new user here as well and I would have to agree on walking. I just bought a 2007 335i fully loaded with 80k miles on it. The water pump, both front and rear pads and rotors were replaced a month before I bought it and I only paid 16k with all service records from my local BMW shop. I would look for a 335i as well and trust me you will enjoy the car a lot more !

I say buy a 335i, I live in ohio and I got a e90 330xi for 12,400$ with 100,000 miles on it. I love it but I have test drive a 335i and it is a night and day difference.
