e90 xdrive fault code troubleshooting help, pls

Hi, if there is a thread already started, please point me there. I searched and couldn't find one.

I sold my 2004 e46 and bought a 2010 328ix a couple weeks ago. I bought it knowing it had some maintenance issues, like bushings and warped rotors. Been fixing those as time permits.

One thing I didn't count on was the xdrive throwing codes. Yeah, I know, should have taken it to a shop and had it looked at, but everything seemed kosher and the codes didn't appear during a test drive. When they do appear is after 10 or so minutes of highway driving. The dsc/brake/4x4 lights come on and the cruise control cancels.

I don't care so much about 4x4 on this car, but I do care about cruise control. :biggrin

The one common thread through the codes appearing is hitting a compression bump (dip) in the road. It is almost 100% certain that when I go down a stretch of highway near my house and hit an area where there's a dip in the road, the faults will appear. Other times, it appears in random place.

Anyone have any troubleshooting help? I'm not hearing any noises from nylon gear failures, like clicking/clunking, etc. No oil leaks.

This is the last major thing that needs resolved. Any help is appreciated.
