I've heard that the SMG-II Tranny shifts gears faster than a human can shift a stick, in effect causing performance gains. However, I also read that the extra weight added by the SMG-II tranny will offset any performance gains produced by the quicker shifts. Is this true? Anyone know which version M3 would win in a 1/4mile race?
Okay, I found it online. The SMG-II tranny adds 18 pounds. The paddles and shift knob add another pound, so the total weight added by SMG-II is about 19 pounds. That's awesome. Anyone know which version M3 is faster, the SMG or Stick?
