I mean I guess in my last couple posts it kind of was me knocking HP quality but at the same time the customer service sucked. That probably was my biggest issue. I tend to have issues with certain parts of computers failing due to of the engineering software's I run. Honestly my MacBook runs hot with the software's I run but it runs well. I guess its on preference on what you need honestly. Newegg.com and decide what you want in a computer then sort by rating and go from there in all honesty.

Edit: OP what are you using the computer for.

ASUS is one of the biggest computer parts manufacturers in the world. That doesn't mean that every computer with its components is equal to their units. They have an awesome rep for overall quality, and HP doesn't.

Agreed. It has an i-5 processor which is good for most typical things. Has the necessary ram for typical things and has a half of tb hdd which is plenty. This would honestly be a good computer.

The one I posted is similar specs and not refurb. I bought a refurb MBP, and I don't think ASUS would be much different, and mine was brand new when I got it.

I bought a refurbed MacBook pro as well. It saved me 600. It was brand new as well I got mine in the original box. It was a return when I picked it up from the apple store because the person wanted a bigger display.

I honestly like that Lenovo laptop I linked you to, above better than the thinkpad edge. The thinkpad edge is pretty big, and has a lot of plastic. It doesn't really feel quite as good as the other one.
Normal thinkpads are nice, but I am not really feeling the thinkpad edge.
