Waxed my car with meguiars ultimate compound
Nice day in Georgia yesterday so I decided to wax my car. I've never used this type of wax before, and I don't think i will again. The wax did add a little shine but not as much as expected. If anyone knows of any other product that i can pick up at like an autozone or pepboys let me know.

Thanks so much, but I also posted this on a different website and they said it's not good to use this very often, and that first the car needs to be polished before waxing it. So I suggest that you polish your car first. You will end up with an even better shine

Why would you polish your car? If your paint is neat, there is no need to polish the car.
I've had new cars for years and never polished or rubbed any of my cars. If you wax your car often like I do, let's say like every 3 months, an sleeps inside a garage then you don't need to polish the paint, unless you loose gloss/shine. What year is your Bimmer? People polish cars that are brand new or a year old and they finish damaging the clear coat. They get polish swirls in the coat. Then to cover that up they wax the car, but within one or two washes, the round swirls pop right up. And when you get that you will never fix that, unless you paint your car. If you car needs polish do it, but of the paint is soft and still glossy, Don't do it. |

New or old, before waxing a car, the single most important thing you need to do is remove the old wax. I've been using Xymol HD Cleanse and Carbon Wax on my 89 325 since it was new and it gets rave reviews wherever it goes. Check it out....

Hey folks, first time posting here.
Hey guys,
I've been at this forum for around for a while, but haven't done a post. Anyway, I'm a proud owner of a E92 AW with Blk interior. Finally, the car is at point where I'm completely happy. I've done a few mods to power, suspension interior and exterior. This car puts a smile on face everytime I approach the car. |
