St. Louis - Abandoned 325ci – any ideas?

Hi all.
I am wondering if anyone has any ideas as to what happened to my 2001 325ci. I sold it to Plaza Motors back in Sept of 06 for my 335i, and assumed that the car would go to a good home b/c it was in such great shape. I saw it driving around during the summer of 2007 and it went to an 18 year old guy who seemed to love the car. I was told by a friend that he saw the car in a field, abandoned; of course I didn’t believe him. Sure enough, WBABN334X1JW48495 was sitting there, wrecked and fire damaged. If anyone has any incite to why the car is in this shape, I would love to know and maybe buy it back and fix it up. I have attached pictures of what it looks like now. I know I sound crazy (and we all are), but it was my first car, I was a bit attached and regretted ever selling it.

hmm, two things could've happened: first car was stolen, seeing that there was no parts take, someone took it on the joy ride and dumped it in the field, judging how small the fire damage is and that there is no pledge or any other waxy substance sprayed in the car (to cover the fingerprints) the thief didn't know exactly how to properly dispose of this "problem". Second, most probable thing that happened is that this 18 year old was partying with his friends they all got drunk decided then decided to drive the car, on the way got in to a car accident ( psngr side body damage) and left the scene, being scared shitless and not knowing how to deal with this situation, they have decided to dump the car in the field, set it on fire, call one of their buddies to take them home, report the car stolen the next day. Don't ask me how I came up with this but that's most likely what happened to you beloved car.
