BMW STARTS ITS NEW VIDEO PORTAL WITH IAA HIGHLIGHTS

Munich- BMW is showing highlights of the 2007, 62nd International Motor Show (IAA) on its new video portal, BMW-web.tv. The new Internet offering, which has numerous, interactive Web 2.0 elements will start on 11th September, to coincide with IAA, at BMW-web.tv - The International Entertainment Magazine.

Internet users can expect exciting daily reports on the new BMW car models, forward-looking innovations and exclusive interviews. So customers, fans, car enthusiasts and followers of motor sport do not have to miss anything about their favourite make of car, even if they cannot attend the show in person. All the IAA contributions will still be on the video portal, ready to call up months later. Other videos are also available in a total of nine categories, for example, the latest BMW models, sports events and the milestones of past decades. The content of the video portal is regularly updated by interesting reports and news on all aspects of the BMW marque.

The new, persuasive video platform has interactive Web 2.0 features and an innovative control concept. After the German Internet TV offering, BMW-tv.de, which since March, has been transmitting a new episode in magazine format every fortnight, the arrival of BMW-web.tv in addition sees the start of an interactive, international portal. So users have many options, including creating and saving their own playlists, rating the contributions, easily integrating videos into their own websites and blogs and downloading them as a podcast to compatible devices such as an iPod. And to wrap it all up, the new web offering is easy to operate and has convenient search functions.

BMW-web.tv has been transformed by the Cologne-based agencies denkwerk and sevenload GmbH together with Bavaria Film Interactive, Munich.
