BMW 320si Limited Edition

I have recently changed my AC Schnitzer equiped E46 325i for an E90 320si.

Its a BMW Motorsport limited edition, produced as a homologation car for The World Touring Car Championship. (WTCC).
1 of 2600 build to meet FIA rules.

The car is Carbon black, with Blue Shadow Alcantara/cloth interior.
Equipment:
Carbon metallic paint, sundblinds, light package, storage package, armrest rear, rainsensor, + the standard M sports package and 18" BMW Motorsport wheel.

It has a handbuild 173 hp engine with a carbon camcover, changed final drive ratio, bigger brakes, Getrag transmission and so on. A real drivers car.
It is 40kgs lighter than a standard 320i in spite of the extra equipment.

Best regards
Nicolaj

Hi

Dont know how they came up with that figure, but it feels faster than it would suggest.

I had an E46 with 198hp at the flywheel before, and it does not feel slower than that. (It would be slower at the lights).

Also it was NOT build for dragracing. Pretty sure it will be fast on the track but I will have to wait until April to see.

It is said that it can do the Nürburgring Northern Loop in under 9 minutes...

But I must admit that I am looking into a Kellerners Sport upgrade wich should give it around 190hp

Nice car, good pick on the Limited Edition model

173 hp from a 2.0L 4 cylinder is not bad. As good as a e46 325 but lighter up front so better handling.

Hi. And thank you for your comments

The Euro 325i E46 has 192bhp. so on paper it should be faster but in real life it does not feal any faster. The 320si is one of the best handling cars I have ever driven! I also tried the 335i before I bought this but It would understeer more.
The power of the 335i was incredible though, so I think that I would like to own one at some point. Ecu upgrade and a nice suspension should make it a pretty good drive.

I will try to take some good photos of the interior
