Leatherette is 100% synthetic materials, and thus have been engineered to feel and look similar to real leather (you can tell that it is not real leather) but with the advantage of being tougher and more durable over time. The choice is clear if your preference is durable wear, you'd go for leatherette (cheaper to buy, easier to maintain and looks like new for a longer period).
With great respect, there are purists out there that would honour the real leather, and rightly so as it feels better and appears more upscale too. I don't think there is a right/wrong choice here. It is purely preference. |
