E90 Bugs
I was just wondering how are the 2006 325i & 330i's E90 doing?
From previous experience getting an 323i Sedan (E46) been having allot of bugs, problems, and things not working properly. I was wondering are the E90's doing better on quality control or are they having allot of bugs and problems? After owning an 323i Sedan never buy the first years model and was just got an good offer from BMW for a trade of my old 323i for an 2006 325i.. |

1. Moonroof gets stuck and closes only half way 2. Brakes prematurely going out 3. Problems with powersteering going out 4. Moonroof and windows squeak when going up/down 5. Black stuff surrounding the oil cap and would cause some kind of crap to come out. 6. Bad brake sensors 7. Unknown check engine light comes on 8. Door wont lock/unlock 9. Expensive maintaince and repair costs Do BMW people get BMW rental cars? I was told that when we purchased our car but never got one we have like recieved an Sentra, Cavalier, and some ugly Malibu. From my understanding lexus people get lexus rental cars no substitutes. |

When I changed the radio station it was still listed as 91.1 no matter what station I was on. Went away after I stopped, started car. I turned on the car and the idrive radio would not work. I turned off car for a few minutes, started it, and everything was back to normal. |

I have 12,000 km on my 2006 330i and no problems other than the sticky door handle and the required software update to program my seat memory to my keys. So far my 2006 330i seems much more solid and better built than my 2002 330xi.

I just had a recent bug that I seemed to have fixed.
I took my car in to get it's 1K oil service and I think they updated my radio or something because before when I had RDS on my navi screen, the stations would show the RDS info on the tuner band presets and now the RDS info is on the lower left and the station number stays the same (shows the frequency) so the next day I was driving and the radio cut out on me for a bit and it kept doing it but at the time I had no clue what was going on. So on the way home, I decided to capture it on my cell phone by using the onboard stopwatch function to see if the problem was consistent so I could have the dealer see it so they wouldn't think I was crazy and I got it a few times. I was going to call my dealer the next morning and I was starting to get pissed because I JUST got this damn car. The next morning, I decided what the hell... I put the radio back on and I turned on RDS and turned it back off. Then I re-set my first station back in to memory and wouldn't you know, the problem hasn't come back. |
