feedback on tires please

hey all...if u r reading this...thx for ya time.

i am new to the bimmer community...jus turned in my Acura TL for a new 328Xi coupe. now, I am looking to put some aftermarket rims, 19" Miro 368s, I am also looking to go with wider tires as well, probably 235/35/19.

does anyone know which brand/model of tire would work best for the money?? per the manager down at the townfair tire, he says bimmers are finicky about type of tires you put on them and he seemed to be steering me towards the ContisportContact 3 by Continental. however, the price of those are roughly between $250 -$300+ per tire and I was looking to spend a little less than that per tire. I mean..if i have to pay that much to achieve a plush ride, well....ok...just curious to hear what advice you guys out there may have so i can feel like i'm making an informed decision.

i have bridgestone turanzas on the stock 17"rims right now and the car drives like a dream. thanks for your comments

I just put some Michelin pilot sports all seasons on my 18's and it drives awesome in the rain so far. Since I had run flats, they formed the common bubbles on the sides so
I decided to get rid of the awful runflats and it rides much smoother now.

What did you do for a spare tire and jack? Just curious. I had the e46 330i and had an accident - totalled. I got the e90 330xi and love it, but the runflats SUCK! The ride is really more like an old conestoga wagon. I attribute it to the very stiff sidewalls on the RFT's. I've been thinking of going back to conventional tires on this one now that they're getting towards replacement time. My problem was what do I do with a flat tire and no spare?
