Question 240-250 the new normal?

Just reading around and I guess everyone has settled into the fact that 240 degrees on the oil temp for 335i's is the norm. Seems a little high to me but then I started to wonder if most people are thinking of coolant temp of 240 being to high and maybe oil temp of 240 is ok. My 335i doesn't have a coolant temp. Anyone have knowledge of this?

My 335 runs at 240 as well. It seems normal.

I have other Bimmers with and I installed cooler thermostats in them--they like it much better!

You put a new thermostat? Is this something you can do with the 335i to lower the temp?

I've left my 335 alone; I guess I don't want to mess with the warranty. I'm sure you could find a way but I'm planning on leaving my alone----for a while anyway.
