Photos Comparison: 2008 BMW 3 Series vs. 2009 3 Series Facelift

Here are some nice compilations showing the face lift and what is different. I think the face lift is so much better! I can't stand the upper part of the grill being on the hood, glad they finally fixed that.

I have been meaning to do this for a while since we received a lot of request from people that would like to see the design changes between the current 2008 BMW 3 Series and the upcoming ‘09 3 Series Facelift.

There are a few comparison shots, the first three of them show the exterior front differences while the other focusing on the exterior rear changes. The last images will give you a side-by-side photo comparison between the two models and that should give you a better idea of what has changed and if this was a needed change.

In my opinion, BMW did a really good job, it is by far one of the best facelifts I have seen so far and it almost makes me sad that I didn’t wait a few more months to get the facelifted version.

P.S The new hood gives the car an amazing sporty look.

I never liked the way they softened the look of the front, side, and rear facia. It became a really feminine car. Also on the sedan and coupe there is no detail on the rear around the 335 exhaust. The new sedan adds the much needed sculpture details in the front, side, and especially front and rear.

This still isn't enough to convince me to buy a sedan over a coupe but very tempting. I really like to the new hood and front, now its a sport sedan.

The 2009 front end looks like an E60.
