What have people been getting on their trade ins?

I have a 2001 325ci with 65k miles. I know the kbb.com and other prices, but are those close to reality?

I need to off-set the prices of a new car. Hopefully BMW will reduce prices!.....not.. I can dream can't I?

Either way, the options that I want on a 335 bring it to 48-51k and that doesn't include tax....damnnn BMWs are getting expensive. Years ago you could get a M3 for that. Should I wait two years and save more and get a bottom end M3 instead (as stealership prices for M3's come down) but then again 20mpg highway? In two years time gas prices could be $5+ per gallon! Also by that time my car will be worth 4k according to the 9-11k that KBB and other sites list!
