My Car Got Keyed!!!!

So im at work and I go out to drop something off for my boss and I see that my rear passenger door and quarter panel have a very deep scratch going allllllllll the way across it. I know you someone is bound to say that this post is pointless w/o pictures but what do you guys think it will cost to repaint the back door and quarter panel? The scratch is way beyond repair and needs to be repainted. Those envious, jealous, motherf***ers are sons of b*tches!!!!!!!

I have no idea for repair since I have not had something similar happen. I would certainly want to make sure it is done by a better shop though.

That sucks big time! Does BMW dealers offer what Lexus dealers offer for dings and scratches repairs when yiou buy the car? I know my wifes GS 350 got scratched from end to end and took it to LEXUS dealer and had it painted again.

That's really cool, I never heard of anyone doing that, repainting I mean. But sucks that your car got keyed. I've been hit and run before knock on wood it doesn't happen again

I just got hit on my rear right panel and rear bumber cover. About $3k and the guy didn't have insurance. He'll probably pay my deductible though. I feel your pain.

Your job will not include the repair part, just prep and paint so it should be WAY less. Just look around for the best shop. You might want to ask other members in your area for suggestions.

Look at the bright side: Considering how bad the factory paint is, you'll probably end up with better paint after the fact.

First time poster but I had to put my 2 cents worth..
I would be so pissed I always park away from cars because I am worried about car doors opening and denting my car let alone someone who keyed it.
I would be so pissed.

I know this is going to sound bad especially coming from the other side ( seeing my username ) but, I have never seen someone get their car keyed when they didn't deserve it. Were you cutting people off? Playing loud music late at night? Maybe it was something that you weren't aware of that pissed somebody off.

Back onto topic.. Get multiple quotes from different body shops and ask people in your neighboring area to see if they have any recommendations. The cheapest price isn't always the go to especially when it comes to paint.

Or maybe, people in my New Haven neighborhood are jealous that a 21 year old is driving a brand new bimmer? Well mommy and daddy dont pay for my car. Im in school full time and I also work full time. I literally dont have time to make enemies because every singe day, im at work from 730-430 and in class from 5-10. So in resonse to AMG, I really cant think of one singe person that I pissed off (except for the lesbian roomate who when I moved in with was dating a man and turned to the dark side, now lives with a butch woman of a man) I dont know
