I don't get it
What is the reason for the reflector near the front wheels on the coupe?

Why was it excluded from the sedan?

IMO its ugly..it really, really, really bothers me.

I read that NHTSA mandated it as an additional safety feature for the car. I have no idea what their reasoning was. Why they did that, I'm not sure. As far as I know, they don't have it on European models.

Its a safety thing so people can see your car from the side when it is dark - Sedan has it built into the side of the headlight I believe which is much harder to get rid of!
