Another Glowing Review of the Converible

Test Driving the 2007 BMW 328i Convertible -- The Ultimate Tanning Machine

While I am not a huge fan of convertibles overall, it seems like BMW has a hit with the folding hard top

If you were getting the convertible would you spring for the 335 or do you view a convertible as an 'about town' car that doesn't need that much power?

Quote:
The first question to deal with in reviewing the BMW 328i hardtop convertible is this -- does it deliver a true coupe experience with the top up?

The short answer: yes.

We were shocked at how the car, with the top up, delivered a true no-compromise ride that is capable of making you forget you actually also have a convertible. And this is a vital question for this category of vehicle, because some folks just can't afford to own three cars -- two for the family and one, just for fun.

So right off the bat, if you're looking to drop a little under $50,000, you can indeed get 2 BMWs

you can always use the power of the 335 when you need it and still cruise to your hearts content with the same car, ;-)

that convertible is a rather hefty premium though, a tricked out 335 is in the 5er range.

535 is teh hotne$$
