Sunroof shattered

I dont usually post on here but thought i would just incase this happens to you.
Was driving on the highway today and all of a sudden heard a loud bang . I thought for a second my car got shot and then all the glass from my sunroof just fell on my head.

I think this happened on a couple early E46s as well.....very strange.

It was also common on the e30... but rather than the sunroof it was the entire rear window that would literally explode on certain bumps. Real nice thing to happen especially while crossing railroad tracks. It happened to me a long, long time ago. Chassis stress.

i think that happens before to someone in e90post.com. he got it fix under warranty.,
