NEW M3 Pricing

While going through www.bmw.de, i found the Brochure for the new M3 including the base price and options available, but the thing is (I don't know how to read German); however i tried to make sense of the optins.

There were two numbers: (Prices are in Euro's):

1) EUR - ohne mwst (56,008.40) = $ 75,328 (As today's X-Rate)
2)EUR - inkl. 19% mwst (66,650) = $ 89,644 (As today's X-Rate)

So they are having 19% as Tax if i am not mistaken.
therefore, if i take the first option with 8% Tax, this will give us: $81,354
and this is excluding all the nice options mentioned at the bottom of the brochure.(Add all the Nice numbers if you dare ) I really don't know how much the prices will differ for the one's coming to the U.S. Compared to the Euro version, but I have done a simple calculation (it maybe incorrect, but it is a near figure): I compared both U.S and German Prices for the 335i Coupe and the difference was 32% more for the Euro one, so i have added this into the calculation of the $81,354 this gave me $55,321. In conclusion, my prediction is $55,000-$57,000 (and this is according to true numbers).

P.S: Don't forget the Dealers Mark-up value you should add $5000-$10,000 for first deliveires.

Regards

Very nice research. I think you are very close with the starting prices.

Nice work on the calculations! I always wanted someone to take the 335i pricing as a way to figure out the ratio and you did it!

I still think the base price will be close to 60k but time will tell

Typically, European prices for BMWs are higher than US prices for similar cars. It all comes down to competition. I would bet that the $73+ price will be in the high $40's or low $50's when the M3 comes to America.

like i've also said in response to numerous pricing threads...55 to 57k is probably going to be the base price for the US spec M3...
