Despite what a lot of fanatics here think, I always thought the G35 coupe was a nice car. IMO, its stock exhaust note is one of the best sounding stock exhaust out there in its price range. The new exterior styling is nice and the interior is okay. Although I give it props, once you go BMW, it's hard to go back to Japanese. I would leave the BMW family only for a Porsche

G35 07 suck

Please stop and think about it.. ON g35 you are buying High End NISSAN car. Safety feathur suck. BMW 335i Have twin turbo. Eventhought it about 7 to 10K less than BMW, you are paying for high end nissian and no twin turbo? Twin turbo cost you around 5000 to 15000 already.. When you are driving 335i, you have status. when you are driving g35.. Normal car.

The G35 is probably the best "value" in its class. For the price you pay, you basically get a full loaded car. It is not as refined as a BMW or Lexus. It is more sporty then the IS. Great car but I feel the fit and finish on the BMW is much more refined. I wouldn't say the G35 doesn't have any status but with the BMW you do have a bit more. You are paying more though, really who cares about status?

I suggest you test drive one. I'm not sure if the current model still has squeeks and rattles but the previous gen. models definitely had its issues after relatively few miles.

One other point. The look of a BMW lasts! To me, the first generation G35s already look somewhat dated. The e46s still look very nice despite being introduced in 1999. Again, I don't think that the G35 is a bad car...but a BMW just feels more complete (looks, power, handling). That is why I am planning to get one at the end of this year.
I do have some reservation about the reliability of the "new" bmw twin turbo. That is why I am waiting a bit.

I got to say the new 335 look very nice and pretty fast. Im a current owner of a G35c 04 and i love the power and handling of the car. When i first purchased my car i drove the TL,330,A4,IS etc... and out of all those cars the G35 was the best for the price. But since the 335 has came out i got to say it's very nice and something i may have to get at the end of the year.

from what i've seen and experienced, the interior feels too cheap after driving a bmw... i've gotten spoiled with the class that bimmers have to offer. in the other hand, it is a very nice car, with a good amount of features for the price... it all just comes down to what you want with the car, and if you're willing to spend the extra bucks for something that may not be necessary but would be nice to have

It is the same as the year before and the year before that. The new coupe isn't out yet and the 07 isn't any better than the 06, the only change is the terms they use the describe they way it accelerates, it swells . A good car for the money, but feels cheap compared to the 335.

It's a great car for the price, most of us would choose the 328i or 335i though (obviously). You get what you pay for. The '08 will definitely be worth checking out though.

I sometimes wonder why folks seem so hung up on LSD? Sure, it'd be nicer to have it than not have it, but it isn't like the lack of it makes a well chassis'd car terrible or something. Cars like the 335i and Cayman S seem to do very well even without it.

I'm not all that hung up on it. You'd think it could atleast be available as an option though on the BMW.

certain 350z models come with an LSD standard.

You'd have to be taking LSD if you prefer a G35 to an e90 or e92.

I could care less about the G35 coupe or sedan<=2006.

But the new 07 G35 sedan gives the e90 a serious run.
Only comparison to be made is the 07 G35 sedan vs 335i.
Bang for the buck winner is going to be the G.

I cannot speak for driving comparison, only for aesthetics.

If there was an Infiniti dealer anywhere near me, I would seriously be interested in taking one for a test drive to see the differences between the 335i and the G35 Coupe. I considered waiting around for the G35 coupe but I simply prefer the styling that the BMW has. There is also the fact that the tuning ability on the 335i is going to be what really makes it stick out for the rest of the competition!

I'm stuck between waiting for the Concept Coupe (possibly "G37") or the 335i Coupe... =/ They both seem like great cars... yes, Nissan is a 'lesser' name, but truthfully I'm thinking BMW's interior (ie dashboard) is kind of dated... does anyone else think so?

Another thing is that my 6MT G35 coupe's handling had nothing on my friend's '03 BMW 325i SEDAN... I guess BMW handling matches its reputation...

But G35 is so much cheaper too... *shrug*

I was just looking and saw that a new G35 Coupe 6MT starts at $34,050 which is quite a bit cheaper...$6k cheaper just to start! The thing is that it really depends on what you want...the 335 is an incredible car that can easily be modified to produce another 55-60 hp and 70-80 lb-ft with a $1,3xx product. When you couple that with the handling that the BMW has, I really do not think you can beat the car. It does cost more but the performance and handling really make it worth it IMO.

Really, I think you just need to test drive them both and see what you want. I have a stock 335i right now and it is a hell of a lot more power than my old Audi A4 1.8t! It is night and day between the two and I have a hard time going back and driving the Audi these days...the BMW is just too much fun.
