335i Manual Drivers Question

Im thinking about getting a 335i in manual, can anyone chime in regards to transmission and clutch feel vs E46 M3. Mostly Im concerned about clutch feel, my brothers 545i has no feedback and is horrible, so Im hoping they kept the 335i a bit sportier. Anyone drove both and can give an honest comparison?

Also I want the sedan, but I would imagine the sedan and coupe have the same transmission + clutch, or am I wrong?

Thx.

i have an e46 stick 330zhp, and i've just ordered a stick 335icp and i have to say, like you i was concerned about that issue. and in fact, the clutch is much lighter with less feel to it. i wish it was heavier. not sure what can be done about that without changing out parts, but i'm obviouslly going to just deal with it.

in summary, the clutch on the 335's isn't terrible, but it could be much better.

yea, have to say I agree that pedal feel is somewhat lacking for a serious performance car. I went from a 2001 911 to the 335cpe and it has taken awhile to adjust to the softness. It is getting better as the car gets broken in and I am adjusting. Just would be better if it were a bit firmer...

Yup... it will be a case of "no feedback and is horrible," just like any new non M BMW you will encounter.

i have 335i 4dr sedan 6spd

I have 335i 4dr sedan 6spd.. just got it for like 1 month and half. the clutch is very soft.. actually very good.. the shift is kinda hard to reverse. its on the top left next to the 1st gear. you need to shift it all the way to your left and up that is your reverse gear. weird uh? you will get use to it.. sometime its annoying to reserve... i guess its a safety feature. dont be mistake to shift 1st gear for reverse. cause you make the car move forward. As for Automatic 335i coupe, i drove my friend car.. he got paddle shifter. its very fast..the gas paddle very good. just slidely step on it.. it go ..

anymore question just email me luckyguyinla@gmail.com
