polarized sunglasses and BMW doesn't work?

i have heard rumors that if you wear polarized sunglasses you can NOT read the amber radio display, because of the polarized lenses...from the driver position. is this true????

yes that is true... however if u move ur head from right to left you can see whats going on.. its annoying but wouldnt u rather block the harmful sun from interfering with ur driving rather than see whats on the radio?

i can assume no effect on iDrive display?

well the lcd screens on any car will be a pain with polarized. Its more about position sometimes when looking head on its fine, other times from certan angles it turns the screen black and looks like its off. Buy a pair make sure they have a return policy for a refund and try them out, its a preference thing. I dont know many people that dont wear polarized because they make the screen black. I had a pair of maui's and i loved them because i was able to see 10x better in any weather, the screen things didnt bother me much, like i said move ur head side to side to get the reading from the screens! GOOD LUCK!

look at my signature line mark, my baby is still "on order". although i still want to pick up Maui Jim's (Paradise model) before my bimmer arrives.

The polarized block out the entire radio display. I found this out on a cross country trip back in September!

i got iDrive, so i think i am good!

haha matt oops! sorry to toy with ur emotions i know what its like to wait for an e9x its sometimes painful!! yeah maui jims are the best IMO you should be alright.
