E92 Turbo Project (Part 2)
Now that the exterior mods are complete ( Part 1), we can finally move on to performance. So far, the car has about 1K on the clock and put down about 270WHP/283WTQ. With an 18% driveline correction, that's roughly 330HP/345TQ in stock trim. First up, will be basic intake and exhaust mods. We'll swap out the filter element and open up the exhaust system with less restrictive piping to see how much can be gained by reducing backpressure against the turbos. Then we'll play with the ECU and crank up the boost a little bit.

Congrats Samir on getting the car out of the shop again and now the fun begins to hunt down more power. Can't wait to see more updates from this project.

.. although, I have to say, one Wynn pic is equivalent to about 20 images the average car photographer takes! |

That torque curve is unbeleivably flat...makes me wonder how much you really can turn up the boost on those stock turbos since they seem so good at low rpms. |

We're going to try bumping it 2-3psi, shouldn't tax the turbos too hard and will definitely yield gains in torque/hp. Ideally, a single turbo would suit this motor much better, but we'll play with these for now. |
